JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CHURCH SECRETARY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Do typing for the Minister and officers of Committees eg minutes
of meetings etc.
2. Enter weekly receipts and payments onto computer spreadsheets.
3. To answer telephone enquiries and refer them to the Minister
or others.
4. Responsibility for operating the photocopier ie organising
service calls, ordering/changing toner, copier paper etc.
5. Keep post record, petty cash, order stamps and stationery.
6. Type weekly and monthly notices and the Quarterly Plan.
7. Type and send invitations for special functions etc.
8. File correspondence and documents appropriately.
9. Deal with invoicing ie draw up invoices to be
sent out and pass incoming ones to the Treasurer to be dealt
with. Marry Invoices & Receipts
to Weekly Accounts and cheque Authorisation forms.
10. Deal with bookings for the premises and liaise with the relevant
person/s.
11. Any other general office duties as required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Able
to use the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office
applications (Word, Excel and Access) for word processing,
spreadsheets and database.
